Soon.
- On 18 and 19 September, they are open holidays for trade workers (Act No. 19,973).
- The rest must start at the latest at 21: 00 the day before and end at 06: 00 the following day: from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20.
- There are exceptions, including small shops directly attended by their owners.
The week of the Patrias Festival compresses the calendar: if you sell products for the celebrations, the orders are gathered in the days before, and on Friday and Saturday your trade team cannot work. Whatever does not come out on Thursday, it comes out on Monday 21.
What does the rule say?
The 18 and 19 of September are unrendifiable holidays for the workers of the trade: neither an individual agreement nor a collective one can change it. Furthermore, the rest must start no later than 21: 00 the day before and end at 06: 00 the following day. In 2026, that goes from 21: 00 on Thursday 17 to 06: 00 on Sunday 20.
They can operate, among others, restaurants, cinemas and show sites, casinos, airport shops, service stations, pharmacies of turn and convenience shops in servicentros. Also small shops directly attended by their owners, such as the neighborhood warehouses. The Labour Directorate controls and can order the immediate termination of the functions.
If your distribution is done by workers hired by your trade, part of that rest reaches them. If you have doubts about a specific case, the Labour Directorate answers consultations on its site.
How to plan the week
The difficult day is the Thursday before the holiday: it concentrates orders, loading and deliveries, and ends at a fixed hour. It should be treated as a day with limited capacity.
Ready for the week from 14 to 21
- 1It publishes an hour of order cutting for delivery on Thursday, with margin to finish the route well before 21: 00.
- 2Tell your customers what happens to what they ask after the cut: the next delivery is Monday 21.
- 3Group the deliveries on Wednesday and Thursday by area to not cross the city twice.
- 4Fuel charge in advance: diesel increased $89 per litre from September 10.
- 5Confirm addresses and reception hours: a failed dispatch on Thursday has no reattempt until the following week.
