Soon.
- The CyberMonday 2026 goes from 00: 00 on Monday 5 to 23: 59 on Wednesday, October 7, with the marks attached to Cyber.cl.
- The Consumer Act requires that the terms on which the delivery was offered be respected: the time period you publish is part of the offer.
- Before defining the offer, calculate how many deliveries fit in the following days: that's your real limit.
Online sales events have a trap for those who deal with their own vehicles: sales are concentrated in 72 hours, but deliveries are not. If the store accepts orders without looking at the dispatch capacity, the problem appears on Thursday 8, with a row of paid orders and a published deadline that does not reach.
The deadline is part of what you offer
Act No. 19,496 on the protection of consumer rights states:
«Any supplier of goods or services shall be obliged to respect the terms, conditions and arrangements under which the delivery of the goods or services or the provision of the service has been offered or agreed with the consumer.»
Calculate your capacity before publishing
The account has three data, and all three come out of your normal weeks, not a good day.
- Delivery per day per vehicle: actual hours of route divided by average time per delivery, including transfer.
- Days of dispatch until the time you want to promise, discounting weekends if you don't deal.
- Normal orders that are still going to come those days and that also have to be delivered.
Capacity for the event = delivery per day × vehicles × days of delivery − normal orders. If with two vehicles you make 12 deliveries per day and promise to deliver in five business days, you have 120 deliveries; if in those days, 60 usual orders are still available, you have 60 for the CyberMonday. The example numbers are illustrative: use yours.
What to do when it's filled
Getting to the capacity does not force to stop selling: it forces to change the promise. You can extend the time limit for the following orders, charge different by area or pause the dispatch to the farthest communes. What is not appropriate is to keep a time limit that you know you will not meet.
A note for later: the CyberMonday falls before 1 November, so it is released with the current rules. The year-end sales will be released with the new requirements of the dispatch guide.
Before Monday 5
- 1Calculate your delivery capacity per day with normal week data.
- 2It publishes the period by area or commune, not one for all.
- 3Define in which number of orders you change the time limit or break away areas.
- 4Confirm the address with the client before sending: a reattempt consumes capacity that you don't have.
- 5Tell the customer when your order comes out: it reduces failed calls and deliveries.
