Cookie and browser storage policy

Last update

Version

To whom it applies
Visitors to drometra.com and its public subdomains

In summary

  • The site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, whether first-party or third-party.
  • We store only two things in your browser: the record that you saw the cookie notice and, if you choose a language, that choice.
  • Cloudflare, our network provider, may set a 30-minute security cookie to distinguish people from bots.
  • If we ever add analytics or marketing, we will first update this policy, and those cookies will remain off until you accept them.

This summary guides the reading and does not replace the text of the document.

01What they are and what scope this policy has

A cookie is a small file that a site stores in your browser to recognize it across pages or visits. There are equivalent technologies —local storage (localStorage), session storage, pixels, and device fingerprinting— that perform similar functions without being cookies in the strict sense. This policy treats all of these technologies alike: when we say «cookie» we include any data the site writes to or reads from your device.

It applies to drometra.com, to www.drometra.com (which redirects to the main domain), and to the site's public subdomains. The controller is DROMETRA SpA, RUT 78.506.876-9, with its registered address at Colo Colo 379, Oficina 706, Edificio Amanecer, Concepción, Región del Biobío, Chile.

The platform console, which customers access with their account, has its own cookie regime, described below in “Platform cookies” and in the platform privacy notice.

02What we use and what we don't

We classify cookies into four categories. We declare all four even though today we only use the first, so that any future change is visible by comparison with this document.

  • Strictly necessary — in use: those that make possible a feature you requested or that protect the site. They do not require prior consent because without them the requested service cannot be provided.
  • Preferences — not in use: those that would remember display choices without your express request. Language does not fall under this category: it is only stored when you choose it in the selector.
  • Analytics — not in use: those that would measure how many people visit each page. The site does not load analytics tools: no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no equivalents, and none of our own.
  • Marketing — not in use: those that would track your browsing to show you advertising or measure campaigns. We use none and do not share browsing data with advertising networks.

What the site does not do either

It does not embed third-party videos or social media, does not load fonts from external servers (they are served from our own domain), does not use tracking pixels or device fingerprinting, and does not sell or transfer browsing data.

03Complete inventory

This is the complete and current inventory of what the site stores in your browser. When it changes, the version and date of this document will change too.

None of these cookies are used to identify you, build a profile, or track your browsing on other sites.

The cookie notice stores its record in local storage and not in a cookie on purpose: local storage is not sent to the server with every request, so that record never leaves your browser.

04Basis of legality

Strictly necessary cookies are based on the performance of the service you request —viewing the site, in the language you chose, securely— and on our legitimate interest in protecting the infrastructure against automated abuse. They are not used for any other purpose.

If in the future we add preference, analytics, or marketing cookies, their basis will be your consent, which we will request before setting them, which you can refuse as easily as you accept, and which you can withdraw at any time.

Ley 21.719 · Article 12

Consent must be free, informed, specific to its purpose, prior and unequivocal, and may be revoked at any time by such an expeditious means as that by which it was granted.

Official text of the rule

05How to manage and delete this data

The “Cookie preferences” link, at the bottom of every page, shows the notice again. Since there are no optional cookies today, there is nothing to enable or disable from there.

  • From your browser: all browsers let you view and delete the cookies and local storage of a specific site, usually under Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data. Deleting the data for drometra.com removes everything described in the inventory.
  • Block cookies: you can configure your browser to reject all cookies. The site will continue to work; the notice will simply be shown again on every visit and the language will not be remembered.
  • Privacy signals: since we do not track, «Do Not Track» and «Global Privacy Control» signals are already honored by design. If we add measurement in the future, we will treat them as a refusal.

06Providers and external content

Cloudflare acts as the site's delivery and protection network: all visits pass through its network before reaching our servers. To provide that service it processes your IP address and the technical data of the request, and may set the __cf_bm cookie described in the inventory. Cloudflare is listed in the subprocessor register and the corresponding transfer is explained in the international transfers policy.

The site's maps are served from tiles.drometra.com, our own service built with open data and delivered through Cloudflare. Browsing a map does not send your location or your activity to an external map provider.

The social media links in the footer are plain links: they load nothing from the third party until you click and leave the site. From that point on, that network's policy applies.

07Platform cookies

The console used by customers (dashboard.drometra.com) requires signing in. To maintain that session, it uses a strictly necessary cookie containing only a random identifier; session data is stored encrypted on our servers and not in your browser. The session lasts at most 30 days if you choose to keep it open, and ends earlier if you sign out.

Sign-in is managed by our identity provider, which runs on our own infrastructure and uses its own technical session cookies. No platform cookie is used for analytics or advertising.

08Changes in this policy

If we add a new cookie, we will add it to this inventory before the site uses it. If it belongs to a category that requires consent, the notice will change version and ask you again. Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
