Winter operations

What a stretch was cleared, when and with which machine, while it is still snowing.

Snow-blasting, salt-spindles and motor-mowers working at night on mountain steps, mountain roads and southern streets. Drometra shows which section was cleared, when and with which machine, while still snowing.

Illustrative scene of winter operations created for Drometra.

Three problems we know by memory

Let the head of shift know, at any time of the night, which section was cleared, when the last machine passed and which one is still covered, and that the relay will receive that same photo when it comes.

They all say they passed, but the high stretch is still covered.

The operator reports that he made the full cost. An hour later, a bus is crossed on the 14th curve, where no one had passed since midnight.

Drometra crosses the route of each snow-cutter with the sections of the shift plan and paints each with the time of the last pass. The shift head sees which stretch has been longer without machine and sends the nearest one.

What we left set up
We draw your sections on the map with its priority and connect the GPS of each machine; those that do not have equipment use the operator's phone with Dromivia.
What you got next
A section-by-section coverage map with the actual time of each pass.

The road was closed and half the team didn't know

The authority closes the rise by accumulation of snow. A scaffold is still heading for the closed section because the notice came through a channel that no one was looking at.

The head of the shift marks the section as closed on the Platform and reassigns the work on that section. Each operator sees the change in Dromivia with notice, and the closure remains with its time of start and reopening.

What we left set up
We set up the states of each section, as open, with chains or closed, and who can change them at night.
What you got next
A single state of the way that the whole team sees at the same time.

Tomorrow's shift starts from zero

The relay comes at 7: 00 and receives a notebook with three lines and a machine that "makes a weird noise."

At the close of the shift, the Platform gives the summary: sections covered with hour, closed sections, salt charged for each spindler and observations of each machine with photo. A reported failure opens its order in maintenance before the machine reappears.

What we left set up
We set up with you the shift-delivery inspection for each type of machine and the loaded salt and fuel form.
What you got next
A relief with all the shift before the view, on one screen.

Night shift on a mountain road

At two o'clock it starts to snow hard on the hill. The head of the shift has three snow and a spindle, and on the map you see what sections each one passed in the last hour. When they close the climb, the section is marked and the spindle goes down to work the other side.

  1. Shift of the shift

Each machine comes out with its sections ordered by priority, in Dromivia or with the GPS it has installed.

  2. Past on the map

Each passing of the snow or sparcidor paints the stretch with the exact time at which it was made.

  3. Shift delivery

The outgoing shift leaves sections covered, closed and pending, and the status of each machine.

The 14th curve at 3: 20 in the morning

  1. What happens

Nieva since midnight. The map shows the 14 curve without passing two hours ago: the assigned snow-plating was stopped below with a cut hydraulic hose.

  2. What the team does

The head of the shift reassures the section to the snowplow of the downfall, which receives it in Dromivia and goes up. The operator of the detained machine reports the failure with photo and awaits the support truck.

  3. How it ends

At 4: 05 the curve is back on. The detained machine arrives at the workshop with the described failure and its work order already open.

Questions you'll be able to answer

Every answer comes out of what your team already records at work. No one has to set up a spreadsheet for that.

How long does each stretch spend without a machine on it?

Interval between successive passes per tranche, calculated with the GPS of each team, per shift and per priority level.

You rearrange the allocation of sections or ask for one more machine for the sector that is discovered.

How much salt do we get and where?

Salt charges recorded in Dromivia by spindle, crossed with the sections carried between one load and the next.

Adjust the dose by sector and repons the collection court before the next front.

What machines failed us this season and what?

Fails reported to the turn closure and maintenance orders they opened, by machine and by type of failure.

You come to the end of season maintenance with the list of each team, not the memory of the workshop chief.

Your first weeks with Drometra

  1. Day 1: We draw sections and priorities on the map and load snow, scaffolding and operators.
  2. Week 1: We connect the GPS of each machine, and the unequipped operators are installed with Dromivia.
  3. Week 2: we simulate a full front, with section closure and turn delivery, before the first actual snow.
  4. Month 1: We adjust sections, states and turn forms with what happened on the first fronts.
